Dot NAME Domains

Established in 2001, the Dot NAME top-level extension is the single TLD intended for personal sites only. These domain names can include personal or fictional names, aliases and/or other titles people are famous by. At the beginning, solely third-level registrations were allowed, so if you wished to secure john.doe.name, you were supposed to do that under .doe.name. In 2004, however, the registration procedures were loosened and second-level registrations were also allowed. Already acquired 3rd-level domains remained operational.

Through our company, you can order your dot NAME domain for an interval between one and ten years. You will have the opportunity to alter the WHOIS info, to park your domain, to create Custom DNS records, etc. You can also transfer an already purchased domain to our firm if you get its EPP transfer authorization key from the current domain registrar and we will renew it once the transfer has been done. There are no special rules on who can obtain a dot NAME domain name, but in order to keep the objective behind its creation alive, the dot NAME Registry organization may verify who the Registrant is and if there is no connection between the owner and the actual domain name, the registration may be challenged.
